So this is 84 pages, the biggest comic ever, and is the result of ... well ... lots of wasted 'hobby' time, let's face it. I'm pleased with it, though. There's plot, there's sexiness [in my opinion!], there's a little awkwardness, undressing ... all the good stuff.
Boobs, massive willy, even some solid lesbianism in there (it's been a while for me, but let's face it sometimes some proper les moments are pretty priceless). Heck, it's the first comic with everyone making an appearance. The crew's even coming together! Squeeeeee!!!!

Hmmm, well comments on G.E-Hentai have included "severe fuck deficit" (which is fair), and "such a tease". Are people just expecting hardcore immediate porn from me? Are people aware that instant gratification porn is actually easier to do, and I'm trying to build some tension and plot in this one? Maybe they're not familiar with the series or something. I guess to be fair there isn't any fucking in this one (which is unusual), but still - that's kinda not the point. Hope this doesn't become the comic everyone hates, because I'm quite pleased with it!

I'd value criticism from ehentai just a touch higher than comments from 4chan. Which is to say, almost not at all. It's a site populated exclusively by people wanting to get off, not media critics.

It's great if some ppl actually make some real comments there and great, if puzzling and incredibly brave, of you to read 'em. But I mean, you gotta bear in mind: is there anything on G.E.-Hentai besides your own comic that wouldn't make a remotely reasonable person want a short term memory enema?
It was brilliant. Loved it. Except for "The End" bit, that was a downer! The focus was on sexy business, the humo(u)r had me smiling and/or giggling ("I'm nearly there... I can see the control cluster!" and Ix has got to laugh, "this thing's running NT!" "We're all dead," "I should get a medal"). The 'climaxic' (is that a new word?) space warp scene out the window in Luce's and all. Well worked out. You've got to be extra proud of this one.
Xho may have been a bit prudish, has needed to be coaxed and trapped into it and still can't lose the awkward excuses but, y'know, let's face it, Xho's just turned out the most adorable thing. You wanna put 'im in your pocket & take 'im home. Then add the sexiness quotient. Ix, more canny and wiseacre or no, has got to flip for him. And it goes visa versa! Agh! It's so sexy and so cute, it's just not fair. I can't blame them. The incestuous lil' buggers. The random eruption of mount Xho was a fav bit.
Also kinda cute but worrisome how Luce's "tech-girl" catch isn't a bit scared by Luce... hm, wonder what kind of impression what (seems to be) coming is gonna make.
Rendering wise, I can't offer much. I did notice a jaggedness to a bum somewhere (Ix's I think) that was kind of a bummer (...). I do know clothes are often a real pain to render so I expect some rough spots with that. Nothing too bad and anyway more than made up for by all the super-expressive work on faces and body language. Good settings too. Yep, happy as a pig in a muddy carrot field.
Ah yeah that's a fair point - I've never spent more than 5 minutes on g.e-hentai so I'm not sure what else is on there - just uploaded there because at least they don't seem to put their own logo on things! I'll take their feedback with a pinch of salt :)
Heh, thanks and yeah - Xho's turning out cure and it's rubbing off on the little badass too. I could devote a comic series just to those two to be honest, it'll be hard guiding the time away from them with any further comics. Probably just because that's the awkward plot I'd been aiming at in Space Trek Fleet Wars - I rushed through it in that one so am effectively just revisiting the same plot but done more slowly.
Mount Xho lol! And yeah Hayley's turning out to be less afraid of Luce than I probably would be! I think her character came out a bit in Firmware - she's the sort who's misjudged as chaste but in the quiet silences of the night her real nature comes out - the plan is it'll help her slot-in easily with Tom and Bex (and Xho .. Zan ...) :)

Think about the context of their remarks though: Ix hasn't had sex since comic 11 (except implicitly with Zan in number 12, which you should totally follow up on). That means it's been at least 3.5 years since she got any, as you put it in your first post on this blog, "ding-dong rumpy-pumpy" (which would indeed be a great name for the comic following "Space Tits Ding-Dong Rub-A-Dub".
Another great episode! Perfect balance of sexiness and story, and I'm really digging the focus on story and tension. You've done a great job giving the characters plenty of personality, and it's great fun to see how they react to the unfolding drama--no matter how ridiculous things get. Once again, great cliff-hanger ending that keeps us all chomping on the bit for the next episode. (Speaking of which, great sense of timing and mounting tension in those final pages.)
As for g.-e-hentai . . . I've posted some of my adult comics there (and they have a lot more exposition than your comics), and comments have been pretty positive, so there are folks there willing to read a good story--and your writing is better and more entertaining than most any adult stuff I've read (and better than a lot of non-adult stuff too). Plus it gets you more exposure. Might be worthwhile to include your blog URL in your opening comment to drive a little more traffic this way.

Re g.e-hentai, yeah it's a weird one but I'll prob keep putting comics on there. In a week and a bit, there's been a thousand downloads of the comic from this blog, and 17k hits to the g.e-hentai gallery so it's good exposure. Not that I'm trying to make money, I guess it just validates the hard work a bit!
Yeah. I guess in my mind I'm not reading it as a 'user' - someone trying to get off - I'm just enjoying playing with the characters and learning how to do scifi stories pew pew pew! :)
It's always useful to get feedback though, and I'll give some good, hard, thought to stuffing the next one with a little humpy rumpy pumpy bumpy some-thy

18,000 hits?!?! Wow. Most people doing a creative hobby are lucky if maybe a few people ever see it. Even if a "real figure" (don't know how they figure "hits") is a small fraction of that, its still awesome. Congrats!
O, Hayley's adventurous to be sure! Assertive even, just not so much aggressively. It just struck me how fearless she's been. Just seeing Luce would be a bit terrifying, I think, to most. Part of that of course is Hayley seeing past that and Luce making that easy for her. ;) She's a distinct character, as they all have been, a key strength of the comics. Ix & Xho could well have series of their own. Can you multiply and split like an amoeba and do a bunch of them? The world may not be ready for that but it'd be all for the better I'd say! :D
It's a weird one, Hayley's character, but I think I base the later comics character foibles on my own experiences, as that seems to be where the more believable conversation appears. So Hayley's that part of me which people initially assume is quiet and conscientious (but later find out is as horny as the next bugger), Luce is the bit that comes out after dark - when seen in those terms, you can see how it didn't occur to me Hayley might be scared of Luce! In retrospect though, yeah Luce is pretty terrifying. The goth makeup helps :)
Interesting to think of our fictional characters as being part of our own psyches - Tom would be my blustering ham-fisted childish-joke-loving boy side, Becky's the semi-bimbo but slightly bossy me, Zan is care for people and emotions and is driven by insight rather than facts.
Not to read too much into a stupid humpy nudie comic, but that's a pretty honest appraisal of how I do character development! [or have done since Dive into the Dark]
