This image basically sums up why I love creating CG comics.

Thing is, being of the 'dreamer' persuasion means I just want to be away with the fairies most of the time, floating in a spaceship cabin, just being in the middle of an infinite starfield with nothing but a few good books and someone with smooth skin to stroke.

Why is that? Why do I want to ignore my work and life and just be away somewhere with no rules, no agenda, just stars and cup-a-soup?

Ok, not cup-a-soup; some decent space sushi wouldn't go amiss.

Maybe it's because of the allure of a life with no responsibility, no work or money stress. Just sex, just floating around and nibbling. Maybe I want to be a teenager again; man that was good times. But at the time you don't appreciate it, do you? You just think everything's unfair and you wish things would move faster and you could get a job and a mortgage and a dog and people would respect you.

But the truth is you're free and fit and can sleep in until 4pm and wake up with the smell of the girl/boy whose bedroom you snuck into, wait for them to get back from college. Quietly so their parents don't know you're in the house.

Nothing better.

So this scene is going to be a homage to what it is to be a teenager; that time when your only stress is what other people think of you, and you're so eager to please, so eager to learn.

Well, I mean... see what you think. I like this one though, it's better than the last stupid one in that shower; that was stupid. Well, they're all fairly stupid, but you know, sexy high-jinx in space is always worth a read either way.

Comic audit time

 So right, someone pointed out not all the links on the comic page were active, and though they could have googled for torrents or even full d/l zips of my older comics, it would be easier if I just uploaded the comics somewhere right? There are even a few 'Shentai'-branded versions of comics kicking about, which sucks. Whoever the fuck Shentai are, they seem to want to put their logo on things they didn't create. But we forgive them for being douchenuggets, don't we, internet? Yes we do. Being Shentai is their crime, it is also their punishment xxx.

Anyway, I've uploaded the definitive versions of the comics again to my Google Drive and you can download them as zipped folders of jpegs using the links below. If you're an old fan, there's nothing new here, no secret renders or re-done scenes or anything exciting, just correct comics.

If you're a new visitor and haven't come across my comics before, it's worth noting there is an order to them, as is strongly implied by the simple numbering system. For example, '01' is the first comic, and '08' is the eighth comic. You may be able to work the rest out from there.

If you are new, the short version of what my comics are about is: well, let's be honest, incest plays a strong role. And space. And boobs and willies and bums and jokes about Ally Mcbeal and Columbo and making tea. It's basically what I wonder about when I have a spare moment late at night and I want to journey into space where ridiculously idealised males and females prance about in the buff and get inappropriately familiar with each other.

It's a wonderful, rich tapestry of nonsense that follows some slight chronological order. So if you jump in at number 05: Spymaster (for example), you would be forgiven for thinking (a) What the hell is going on?, and (b) This is shit! These would be fair statements, but rest assured if you read them in order they will likely appear less shit. And if you have a massive binge and read them all in one go, you'll likely get utterly obsessed with the whole plot and even if you thought incest was stupid before, you'll likely garner a new and unrewarding sense of the hotness of it. I did; before making these comics I had no interest in incest whatsoever! I know! True story. But now look at me; incest and manipulation are like the pivotal plot facets, constantly rearing their ugly and misshapen heads.

I'm sure Freud would give me a jolly good headbutt, but be slightly confused that my mother hasn't appeared anywhere in the comics.

Glad we've cleared that up.

Incest aside, the comics get better looking as they progress, as I learnt how to render more gooder as time went by. That's the nice thing about a hobby; if you spend hours and hours on it, you'll get better at it, even if you're an idiot.

Right. Enough about comics. What's the news with you lot then? Google now reckons 9% of my visitors are female, so we're gently improving the sausage-to-gash ratio (yes that's a gross way of putting it, no I don't care), which is super dooper.

Oh yeah, the next comic, which I very nearly basically promised in my last blog post - I know there's only an hour or so of work to be done on it, but I've been absolutely rammed with real-world events taking over my 'hobbying' time, so I'm afraid we're not on course to complete it before next week I'm afraid. Sorry about that. Not very sorry though; hey, it's a free comic. It's a good one though. So much better than Fap Club.

Four bottoms. Simple as that.

This isn't like a "Hey look at these renders!" sort of thing, this is more of a "Hey I've just done the front cover and only one of these bottoms made it, so here's the other ones because otherwise it'd be a waste because they're all lovely" sort of thing.

Weird thing is, considering how buoyant Becky's boobs are, I actually had to dial them lower and apart quite a bit in order that they were visible under her arms...

Stupid detail I know, but I notice these things; no sideboob can be a real problem. I mean what a waste! It'd be a shame not to show off some tiny modicum of those assets.

I guess that sounds hugely sexist but I did a similar thing for the last comic cover for Xho's wang. That thing needed to be at *juuust* the right angle so it didn't look like he was just holding a chipolata there. So it's not sexist, I promise, it's just being a bit of a mental perfectionist and trying to get the right view of the choicest bits. 

Maybe not sexist, maybe just objectifying. Still, doing it for both genders gets me off the hook I reckon. Off the sexist hook and onto the shallow hook.

Bonus points if you guess what the front cover's going to look like. I mean I know it sounds like an impossible feat, but judging purely on her pose; if you know the answer it is pretty obvious. So whose pose is that? What's going to feature in the next comic?!?!! (No there won't be multiple Beckys; this is just lighting tests).

 

Meet the crews...

I've occasionally pondered doing a Top Trumps -style lineup of the crew, gauging each person's vital stats. Maybe I will one day; mug shots and special skills, strengths weaknesses, heights and other metrics. Favourite foods, amount of time spent per day gazing at the stars, favourite positions, frequency of masturbation, gin and tonic or pina coladas; stuff like that.

Ix is obviously a straight Vodka/ Jägerbomb drinker, Becky's more into red wine or g&t; Tom just goes for shit lager no doubt. Or an occasional Guinness if there are other men around and he doesn't want to seem too shallow.

But for now, here's a little lineup of our lovelies (click that pic for the mega-sized version). Just the goodies on this one, because who gives a toss about the height of baddies, eh? Not me, no siree. And there's only really one baddie knocking about the place at the moment: Admiral Fabuloso. He's likely to be as short as Ix and Xho anyway, they seem to have a limited species vertical growth.. maybe their planet is higher Gee than Earth? That might help explain why Ix is such a badass; better muscle quality and density than the Earthicans. Hey storytelling is fun! You can just make it up! Mind=blown

The eagle-eyed among you will notice that Ix grew by four or five inches between her appearance in Pilot Plaything and her recent outings in Pegasus' Wraith. I'd like to say this was a purposeful and subtle increase in size to demonstrate her growth and spinal decompression in the lower (0.8) gee environment of the spaceship, but the truth is after a few comics with her at about 4'2", I just thought she was a bit too damn short and so bumped her up to the towering colossus she is now! No wait, let's stick with the theory that she grew slowly due to months aboard the 0.8 gee spaceship, because if you're from a high-gee planet, that probably would happen, and the theory makes my randomly-changing-people's-heights seem less incompetent :D

Hey the lower gee spaceship would also explain Becky's breasts! Since my initial utopian design of the character, her nips have always pointed slightly to the ceiling, but in some scenes it just seems silly, like inhumanly pert. They sort of float ... but then if you've grown up and trained and developed your boobs in 0.8 gee (or the 0.6 gee of an orbital station College), you actually would have much more firm, high boobs. Damn that girl, this is seeming more real I NEED TO GET INTO SPACE, STAT

Oh shit I totally forgot Victor!!! Sorry Victor old bean, no offence matey boy. Ah well I think he's a little taller than Tom; probably about 6'4". No I can't be bothered to render it again to add him in. Just imagine he's off to the side, trying to restart again.

Damn, I *KNEW* there were too many females in there! Well, we'll have to have a proper boys-only comparison sometime then - who's the strongest (Victor), who's got the biggest willy (?), who can drink the most beer (Tom), etc etc.

Anyway, before I get totally into this made-up-dimensions shenanigans, let's change the subject. Google now thinks around 5% of visitors to my blog are female! Hooray some semblance of diversity at least; to be honest it's a relief just to step off the 100% male prediction that Google made initially, that just didn't seem right. As time ticks on Analytics will have a better chance at plotting the demographics more accurately (it hides the minority groups totally until it has enough stats from them, hence the 0% female initial stats), but it doesn't really matter - it's just fun trying to guess the sort of people that are into the things that I am!

Demographics of terror and joy!

I installed Google Analytics on my blog for fun, and then I found the 'Demographics' tab.

My word! Firstly, it's a bit of guesswork on Google's part, but judging by browsing habits, you lot are 100% male. Not even 0.1% female. I mean, maybe that'll change over time, but for now Google's pretty sure May's visitors have been guys. [UPDATE: yeah Google now reckons it's more like 6% female, which is healthier guesswork]

Secondly, look at that graphic! We're apparently all single, male, 18-25 year old unemployed hardcore gamers! Amazing. Incorrect.

Does gaming lead to dreaming of scifi scenarios? Do we flit between employment sites and reading comics? Does being a gamer or a technophile mean you're a bloke? Google seems to think it does. Does being a bit of a dreamer mean you'll be unemployed? Do we watch too much TV and then go straight to dating websites to find the next relational fix?

Golly, the human race and our rough analyses eh? What we can decide from this couple of weeks of vague guesswork is that ... err ... nothing really.

But if you do happen to be unemployed, a bit of a dreamer, looking for love or all of the above then I have a message for you! Have hope! I currently do an amazing job which stretches my brain and leaves me space to think and breathe and be creative - but that wasn't always the case.

I was unemployed for a long, looong time. You measure it in weeks, then months, then when it gets over the 12 months stage and you start doing crap jobs it starts to get to you, but it can turn around. I ended up doing the wrong job in the right industry, the overqualified minimum-wage dirtbag job. But staying humble and working on initiative meant I quickly moved through different parts of the same industry.

So if you're feeling stuck, wasting time, aimless, take courage! You can do it! Ooonf!!!! I understand that confidence can get knocked, but the dreamers and the technophiles and the geeks have something that the rest of the go-get-em extrovert normal people don't - we might be slow to sell ourselves but we have an exceptional understanding of processes and ethics and an emotional depth that gives us greater potential than a thousand straight-to-employment straight-to-relationships seemingly sorted people have. But the first step is to get off your arse and take responsibility, young man!

Come on now, I'll withhold the next comic if you don't at least apply for one job. Yes it can be a crap one. No you can't spend the money on anything with a USB or HDMI port or four propellers.

And get a shower for fuck's sake! You're worth scrubbing up. You are.

Booby grabby squeezy-squeeze

Nice skin though, nice warmth I think.

There's some better boob-grab work in comic #12 Blue Steel though - when Xho gets his hands on Zan. For that I bothered to use custom deformers to move her boobs where his fingers were creating indentations. Effective but a bit of a faff.

For some reason I'm just rushing through this next comic - it's at 26 pages now, and although the render quality's higher than Fap Club, I don't seem to be pausing to get the details right like I did with Blue Steel or Firmware.

Must be hitting my impatient stride, bashing out renders like a mentalist. Still, as long as the overall story quality doesn't drop, can't complain :)

Reclamation

It annoyed me a while back that my old blogs had been grabbed by autoblogging stuff, essentially cock-blocking my old URLs. So, like a good internet pedant, I set about debagging them and reclaiming my old blogs! Hoorah! The system works.

The upshot of this is, if you're a Tumblr user and would like to subscribe to my stuff through that, my old URL is back, baby! I'll check it just as regularly, but the blog posts will be the same - I've set it up to sync the two.

Also means if Tumblr or Google change their terms and decide no more boobs on their web stuff, there's a backup :)

And for that really retro feel, I also managed to get hold of my original blog URL again. Only points back here, but still, it exists once more. Why not join me and head over for a few minutes to breathe in the heady air of pre-2010.

Combo comic dev

I've had a chance to work on the next comic; in fact I've changed my mind again and instead of it being a little quick one, this is going to combine two 'acts', making it more of the former type of comic - you know, where things happen to the plot not just hump-time.

Not that I've got anything against hump-time, you understand. I mean let's face it;

Comic 15: Fap Club

Comic FIFTEEN!! Woop woop! This time yesterday, it wasn't much good and had a rubbish ending, but I've sorted that out and BAM! Much better, fits the series much more nicely I think. But you people of the internet aren't going to see the draft version so you'll never know how crap it could have been, eh? Comics are funny like that; they're all hard work and clunky rendering until the last minute when something clicks and it all fits together. All the boobs and willies and bums flying all over the place in one finally orchestrated dance. Splendid.

Fifteenth comic's done .. beep beep beep

Pay attention, you lot! The next comic's done, I just need to figure out what it's called and make the cover, and it'll be all over this blog like a beautiful scarlet rash. Before the weekend, no less.

Totally different to the last one ... oh no wait it's a similar tits-in-space sort of deal. No departure from the norm really. Yet again there's zero plot resolution, it's more dicking about and time-wasting from our favourite troop of space-adventuring youngsters.

Trouble is, I can't decide on the title. I've figured out the next three comics, their plots/scripts and titles, but not this one.. too many options, too many titles kicking about. I might go for a conglomeration title in the end, call it "FAP CLUB: space tits ding-dong rub-a-dub". But I can't decide anything right now..

Time for a cup of tea.

The nice thing about CGI is you can create any scenario you fancy, for fun!

What would you like to see me do a comic about?

It was only halfway through 'A Fairy Good Deal' that it occurred to me I could change the ending to a dream/drugged sequence in order to match it up to the ongoing SpaceTrekFleetWars plot - I'd actually started without that intention, thinking I'd just do a weird Tinkerbell fantasy comic. Because Tinkerbell is hot.

Here's the point - I've been wondering about doing some sort of dream sequence, or a new in (or altered) a character to completely change what's going on - and although I have a few plans it'd be cool to hear what the good people of the internet think too!

So what should I do? Take a look in your brains and let me know - what comic (not neccesarily one of mine) inspired the most sub-plot fantasies? Where would you like to see the plot go if there were no logical constraints? Who would dream about what?

What if Becky got infected with a nano virus and got shrunk to eight inches tall and had to be carried round in Ix's cleavage? What if Xho made errors with his spacetime experiments and was made invisible? If Zan dreamed about being an ancient queen? If they were attacked by a confused but benevolent space squid? Doesn't have to be our crew, there's loads of ways of weaving it into the plot somehow even if it's totally new / irrelevant characters.

No holds barred.

In fact the only rule is no rape. You people knew that anyway though, right? I mean, that's a fairly basic rule that applies to real life as well, so let's honour it here, eh?

How would you earn it? What if a normal bloke was transported to the crew, how would he play it, really? What if Tom got half-stuck in a Tacspace simulation and was made too big to fit down the corridors? What if Xho started dreaming about tickle fights with Ix when they were younger, but the dream escalated? Oh wait that's basically what happened with Becky in Daydreaming..

Anyway, I'm all ears and you guys are all anonymous so be brave! GO GO GO!

The ever-changing comics of wonderment

So having done a zillion test renders and having thought about the next comic and the next one after that, I've come up with a new plan which totally delays the plot by two comics! I was twenty pages into comic fifteen, but then thought of two more comics that should come first.

They'll be shorter though, just two little cheeky ones to squeeze right in there, more for character catch-ups than to solve anything that the crew's dealing with.

Always amazes me what a difference lighting makes.

These tests aren't quite there yet, but I like the warmth of the first one [despite the fact it looks like she's in an oven! Might tone down the red a bit..] and the intimacy of the second one, so I'll probably combine them somehow.

Oh yeah - this is the redesigned bunk too, so it's smalle/lower than the previous one, but not quite as cramped as the original.

Yes there's lego on the shelf! I found that awesome free lego spaceship model on the vanishingpoint site and thought it'd be perfect for our girl.

Only decision I need to make now is what to put on the three photographs on the far wall - I'm thinking maybe some retro 70s pinups or something - or maybe a few intimate shots of members of the crew. Can't go wrong with

To be honest, I never do things in order. If I did, there'd be comic 25 out by now. But no - it's more like dicking about with three comics at once, always the best most juicy bits first, then a bit of irrelevant rendering here or there, then maybe a blog post and finally, when there's nothing else left ... the next chronological bit of work.

But that's fine, I won't beat myself up about it, that's how lots of perfectly jolly people work and it doesn't harm them. Let's crack on in ANY ORDER HOORAY!!!!

It's here! My next free comic, hot off the press. I think it's a good one, this one! :)

This time the main focus is around the relationship between two members, and the switch in power that happens halfway through the comic. You'll see what I mean. First she's in charge and then .. well I don't want to spoil it.

Anyway, for this plot I have to admit I drew inspiration from a few places: Zoey Holloway (for that brilliant "Mom's going to help you out" kinda theme), Epoch Art (as mentioned with the last comic, inspiration for the Hayley character), and Stieg larsson for the dark ethereal character of Luce. To be honest, I probably draw inspiration from a zillion other places too, but then don't we all :)


Comic is 68 pages, all medium-res jpegs zipped up in a single 19mb folder of joy and wonder. Hope you like it!
